The Hunt Middle School Round Building project converted a round-shaped, former cafeteria into a performing arts center through a comprehensive building, site and utility upgrade. Ethos Civil provided civil engineering design for a new roof drainage pipe network, replacement of damaged asphalt pavement, pavement sealcoat, updated pavement markings to improve vehicle access, accessible parking stalls, pedestrian pathways and stairs, site lighting, fencing, site furnishings, and removal of contaminated soils. These improvements enhanced accessibility, safety, and long-term functionality while extending the life of this distinctive building in Tacoma affectionately known as "The Mothership" and "Lil' Domey."
Weddermann Architecture was the project architect.
