This project provides 216 units of new garden style multifamily housing in Kitsap County, Washington. A follow-on phase will add roughly 34 new townhome units. The site layout includes 361 parking stalls for residents, including carports and garages. The site provides a thorough network of sidewalks and accessible access adjacent to a natural greenbelt. It provides emergency vehicle access throughout. Ethos Civil designed all site civil items for the project including grading, water, sewer, and stormwater conveyance systems. The project design was expedited to meet the client’s aggressive schedule. The project is currently in permitting and is anticipated to start construction in 2024.
Rush Development desired a very aggressive design schedule to get this 216-unit apartment project in for permit review in spring 2023 and the project required close coordination with other design consultants concurrently permitting the remainder of the larger site. The Ethos Civil team quickly mobilized and began coordination with the architect to refine a firm site plan. The team also coordinated with the site consultant for the larger project to make sure the designs integrate closely. Proactive communication with the agency reviewers during design minimized changes during the permitting process allowing the design team met the owner’s goals for schedule and budget. When permitting and construction are completed, the project will provide attractive housing options for residents at an affordable price.
